Netflix and GMA Network team up for Pulang Araw series, watch trailer here

For the first time ever, Netflix and GMA Network collaborated in producing another Philippine TV drama masterpiece by the title of "Pulang Araw". According to one of the main actors, Alden Richards, this project started a bout 10 years ago and had been in developments all this time. And now, Netflix and GMA Network have finally released the first 11-minute long trailer giving us first glimpse of what to expect from this series.

Pulang Araw is directed by Dominic Zapata and written by Suzette Doctolero, which if you are familiar of, created most if not all masterpieces produced by GMA Network such as Encantadia, Amaya, Maria Clara at Ibarra, Indio, Etheria and more. 

Pulang Araw will portray an important part of Philippine history during World War 2. The series will try to give viewers what life was for Filipinos during the Japanese occupation in the Philippines. The story will revolve around four childhood friends which are played by Alden Richards, Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez and David Licauco. 

In addition to them, we also see some other big stars in the trailer such as Dennis Trillo, Epy Quizon, Angelu De Leon, Rochelle Pangilinan, Robert Sena, Niel Ryan Sese and Sef Cadayona, 

Pulang Araw will debut on Netflix on July 26, 2024 and on GMA Prime three days after.
