Entry Level Huawei nova Y61 with 50MP Camera Launched

 It has been quite a while since Huawei last introduced an entry-level smartphone. It's either midrange or flagship devices that the company outs here and abroad. While that is not a bad thing, it's worth noting that entry-level smartphone market is still definitely a big market to conquer most especially here in the Philippines. And probably that's the reason why Huawei decided to unveil an entry-level phone this time in the guise of nova Y61. 

While it is a budget-friendly phone, it packs a whopping 50MP triple rear camera system with macro and depth sensors. Along with that, another highlights of this nova Y61 is the massive 5000mAh battery with 22W Fast Charge. It will be powered by an unnamed octa-core processor with either 4GB or 6GB RAM but only 64GB internal storage. There is a microSD card support as well for storage expansion. 

The Huawei nova Y61 will be available in three colors - Mint Green, Midnight Black, and Sapphire Blue. 

On the display side, it packs quite large 6.52-inch display with HD+ or 1600 x 720 screen resolution. There is no 90Hz refresh rate though but a standard 60Hz one, which is okay knowing that this is super budget-friendly device. It's nice to know that it has 4G LTE support and can handle two SIM card via its dual SIM functionality. 

Huawei is actually quite generous here on the nova Y61 as they still included this one with a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audiojack right out of the box. 

Now, if you have been wondering since reading this post, the Huawei nova Y61 does not have Google Mobile Services. So no Google Play access still. Instead, it will come pre-installed with Huawei's very own App Gallery, its own version of Google Play for its users to download mobile apps from.
