Dimensity 700-Powered OPPO A58 5G Unveiled
OPPO has just unveiled a brand new smartphone called the OPPO A58 5G powered by Dimensity 700 processor, the same MediaTek-made chip that powers the also recently-launched realme 105G.
Most specs of this OPPO A58 5G are more than okay especially that it is already a 5G-ready smartphone. The only let-down on this device, if there was one, would be its display resolution. The phone packs a 6.56-inch HD+ (1600 x 720) LCD display with a waterdrop notch housing the 8MP selfie camera. It's got a 90Hz refresh rate though which is nice, plus the screen is protected by Panda Glass.
Together with the Dimensity 700 5G processor, the device will be available in three configurations - 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB. On the back are the vertically-aligned dual camera setup where the primary shooter is pegged at 50MP with the secondary at 2MP with depth sensor. Apparently there is no ultrawide camera.
Software-wise, the OPPO A58 5G is running on the current Android 12 with ColorOS 12.1 on top. Side-mounted fingerprint reader is still on board together with the USB Type-C port. It boasts a 33W FastCharge and a large 5000mAh battery.
