Apparently Realme 10 5G Variant Exists and Just Got Unveiled

Just a couple of days ago when realme officially launched the realme 10 both in the global and Philippine market, the brand has just unveiled a new variant in China. As you may have already know, the recently-launched smartphone in the country only bears 4G LTE network connectivity and you might be wondering why not 5G already? Well, the answer just arrived. It is because the brand was also planning on releasing a separate 5G variant of the same model. No we are not talking about the Pro and Pro+ variants here, that's another set of realme beasts that are also coming real soon. The one recently and silently unveiled and released in China just called realme 10 5G. 

Now there is a bit of twist on this one, though. Usually and so far when a brand releases a 5G model of the same variant, specs and performance are positioned to be a little higher than the 4G LTE counterpart. That's not the case on this one. It got 5G but the specs and even the design are a tiny-bit watered down compared to the LTE brother. 

And by watered down I mean the type of display used on this realme 105G and the notch that holds the selfie camera. In the standard realme 10 model, we got an AMOLED display, on this 5G version we are offered an LCD display. But it's nice to know though that it still packs a Full HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh display, and 180Hz touch sampling rate. As for the notch, the realme 10 is equipped with a punch-hole notch with 16MP selfie camera, while on the realme 10 5G a water-drop notch housing an 8MP selfie snapper. 

Another difference is in the processor. The realme 10 4G LTE model is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99. This realme 10 5G is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. 

The rest appears to be the same as the 4G model. See specs below.

In China, the 8GB+128GB model is priced at CNY1,299 (Php10,500), while the 8GB+256GB version is for CNY1,599 (Php12,900). There is no word yet if this will also be released outside of the Chinese market. 

So I guess that's it for the realme 10 models. But we are done yet with this latest series, the brand is still to officially launch the realme 10 Pro and realme 10 Pro+ in the global scene which are rumored to sport a much better specs and more premium design. realme is set to launch Pro series on November 17, 2022.
