Selfie Phone MyPhone Rio Pixie Sporting 8MP Back and Front Cameras Announced


MyPhone has just officially announced the Rio Pixie. A smartphone targeting those users who love taking photos, especially selfies and groupies.  The highlight of this new member of the Rio Series of smartphones from MyPhone is the 8MP rear camera equipped with LED flash and autofocus and the front facing shooting also sporting the same 8MP resolution.


To add more fun the ultimate selfie experience, MyPhone is shipping out this Rio Pixie with free Selfie Stick and pre-installed it with selfie-centric app called Fotoku, right out of the box.

Despite being officially announced by MyPhone itself, a number of specs are stilled left unreleased like the battery size, if it supports dual-sim functionality and up to how much memory card it can support. 

The unveiled specs we have the 4.8-inch HD AMOLED display with 720p resolution and protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layering. Inside of it are a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and 1GB of RAM. As for the internal storage there is a default 8GB space. It's an Android 5.0 Lollipop powered smartphone and can connect to 3G and HSPA+ network type.

As of writing the MyPhone Rio Pixie is now available at any stores and kiosks for a suggested retail price of Php7,599. If I remember it right, this is the most expensive Rio smartphone the company has released since its inception last year.
