Furious 7 Director James Wan is Officially Helming the Aquaman Live Action Movie
It was previously rumored that The Fast and Furious 7 director James Wan was in talks with Warner Bros to direct the film live-action movie adaptation of Aquaman. It is now officially and formally announced that Wan will be helming the development of Aquaman film which is set to be released in 2018 a year after the first Justice League film.
Jason Momoa, the actor who played Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones TV series signed on to play the Aquaman "... the King of the Seven Seas and the reluctant ruler of Atlantis, who is caught between a surface world constantly ravaging the sea and Atlanteans looking to lash out in revolt, but is committed to protecting the entire globe," according to the synopsis released by Warner Bros.
James Wan is the same film maker who directed Insidious, The Conjuring, Insidious: Chapter 2 and the latest Furious 7 movies. The Aquaman movie will be penned by Kurt Johnstad the man who wrote 300 and 300: Rise of an Empire.
