Netflix Greenlights The Sandman Season 2

It's no doubt that the first season of The Sandman has been a hit on Netflix, and that the second season is just a matter of waiting for Netflix to finally approve. And today, despite rumors of the show being axed, the waiting has come to an end. The Sandman Season 2 is now official. 

In case you missed, The Sandman series is based on Neil Gaiman's comic book series of the same title. And to give us a perspective on how successful the first season was, according to a post by deadline.com, during the first week of its release on Netflix it recorded a whopping 69.5 million hours of watch time. It doubled in the second week garnering a total watch time of 127.5 million hours, and then many more millions of hours the weeks that followed. 

Both Netflix and Neil Gaiman made the confirmation and announcement. However, none of them gave any more information relating to the second season's release date.
