The Joker and Harley Quinn movie in the works with Jared Leto and Margot Robbie returning

Jared Leto and Margot Robbie will be returning in the big screen reprising their villain roles from last year's Suicide Squad movie as The Joker and Harley Quinn, respectively. Reports are claiming that Warner Bros. is currently in final negotiations with directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa for the said untitled villain movie.

This movie will be connected to the current and expanding DC Extended Universe Warner Bros. is developing, but the story will focus more on the two criminal lovers.

I enjoyed watching the Suicide Squad last year and big part of that excitement was due to Jared Leto's The Joker and Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn characters and their relationship to each other. I really hoped there was more screentime for these two than what we had. So hearing this new development in the DCEU really really excites me. Hopefully whoever are going to direct the Joker-Harley Quinn movie, it will be at least as badass as the Suicide Squad.

As of the moment, details surrounding this new movie is scarce except for that it will be a "criminal love story."
