Super Mario Run for Android Devices To Be Released in March

Since December of last year, iOS users around the world have been enjoying the very first smartphone game from Nintendo - the Super Mario Run. In fact it has already been downloaded for more than 40 million times since release. The game was initially unveiled at Apple's iPhone 7 and 7 Plus event in September 2016. The official announcement was made by Shigeru Miyamoto where he was given stage time by Apple CEO Tim Cook to introduce the game and give some gameplay demo. Before he ended his presentation, Mr Miyamoto said that Android version of the game was also coming in 2017.

Well they are keeping their promise as a couple of days ago, Nintendo announced via Twitter that the Super Mario Run for Android platform is going to be released sometime in March. And you can now pre-register on Google Play to get notified as soon as the game becomes available.

The Super Mario Run offers few of the first levels to played for free, then if players would like to get the full version, a $9.99 fee is required. Additionally, the game needs to be connected to the internet to play which is kind of a turn off. I hope this is not the case for Android users when it hits the platform in March.
