PlayStation 4 with 1TB Hard Drive Now Official
Following the announcement of Microsoft at E3 2015 that their Xbox One console will have a 1TB hard drive storage upgrade, its rival Sony's PlayStation 4 has just been officially unveiled to also come its own upgraded variant with the same 1TB of storage.
This was revealed via a post on PlayStation blog and apart from the storage upsize, Sony said that the new PS4 dubbed PlayStation 4 Ultimate Player Edition has other improvements. The Japanese company said the 1TB PS4 edition is 10% lighter than the previous 500GB model and is about 8% power efficient.
Looks like this move from the two gaming console giants is inevitable as every year new and better games are coming out and its no surprise that many of world's gamers are continuously buying and downloading more and more games. Plus a shortage of space is one of the main issues many gamers are facing, so thanks to these company as they always listen to their loyal users.
However, not everyone will be able to get their hands on the new 1TB PS4 version, Sony said that they will release this particular product in Europe and PAL countries starting on July 15, 2015. Hopefully this is just temporary. Pricing is not revealed as well and the company advised users to coordinate with their local retailers for the local pricing.
