SKK Mobile Unveils ATOM and WAVE Budget Smartphones
No they are not superhero characters or based on ones. They do sound like DC or Marvel characters but they are not, these Atom and Wave are brand new smartphone offerings from one of the local electronics companies here in the Philippines, the SKK Mobile.
The SKK Atom and Wave are Android 4.4.2 Kitkat-powered smartphones and are targeted for consumers who have a very limited budget but want to experience the taste of an Android Kitkat device when it comes to doing text messages, making calls and browsing the internet. SKK Mobile got them covered with these new budget phones.
As we can see in the image above, it shows the Atom smartphone itself together with some specs and the official pricing of just Php1,499. Yet we are still missing some other important specs like the clocking of processor, RAM size, battery and internal storage. Good thing is we know that the Atom supports 3G network and microSD card of up to 32GB.
As for the Wave, I don't actually see major differences so far apart from the screen size which is at 4" with the same resolution as the first one above while the Atom has 3.5-inch. The rest is just the same from camera configurations to 3G support.
We see a Php200 price difference between the two so I am guessing that the SKK Wave will definitely be advanced in terms of the missing specs. Battery? RAM? Internal storage? Processor? We won't know until SKK Mobile releases more information as we come nearer to the release date which is still unknown up until this point.
SKK Mobile promises to release more details soon via their Facebook page. So we have to stay tuned and wait.
