MyPhone Infinity 2 Photo, Specs and Price Leaked Ahead of Launch

News about the next MyPhone flagship device is starting to heat up, it's of course not about the Rio 3 but the Infinity 2 smartphone. Rumors have started claiming that the company will unveil the device tomorrow May 19. Then there is this local tech blog posted a leaked photo of the Infinity 2 showing the device itself, specs it will feature and the price tag it will have. See it below.

Filipino Tech Addict blog posted this photo claiming that it was achieved via a MyPhone Rio 2 Facebook group they follow and was shared by a user named Nico Hinajon.  

It's actually a very nice leak as it shows most of the important details about the smartphone including the pricing. Unlike the current Rio 2, the Infinity 2 will be offered with a much higher price range, Php12,799 to be exact. It shows that the Infinity 2 will sport a 5-inch HD AMOLED display, the same type of display we see on most Samsung high-end smartphones, layered by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for scratch and damage protection.

Just like the predecessor, the new Infinity device will also be powered by a True Octa-core and a 64-bit processor clocked at 1.5GHz accompanied by a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Users can also use a microSD card up to 64GB just in case the 16GB default space is not enough.

There is just one turn off I see here, if this is actually the real Infinity 2 and that's the operating system which it says here is going to be an Android 4.4.4 Kitkat. It does not really making  any sense since Rio 2 and Rio 2 Lite are already running Android 5.0 Lollipop when released last month. No siince it has a 64-bit type processor, hopefully this will be changed to Android Lollipop upon launch or at least an over-the-air Android Lollipop software update will follow after release.
