Russo Brothers Are On to Direct Avengers Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2

It is no longer a secret that Avengers Age of Ultron will be director Joss Whedon's last film for the on-going Marvel Cinematic Universe. Based on his works on the first Avenger movie in 2012, I think he is the best man for the franchise as I was greatly satisfied with that first superhero ensemble movie. That's why it was kind of a sad new for me to hear that Whedon is not returning anymore for the Avengers 3 and Avenger 4. But there is a good news when it comes to the upcoming Infinity War installments.

According to a report by Devin Faraci on Badass Digest, his source has told him that directors Joe and Anthony Russo also known as the Russo Brothers have already signed a contract with Marvel to take over the next two Avengers films. So why did I say it's still a good news?

Well just in case you don't know yet, these brothers directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier which deemed to be one of the best Marvel films in the MCU next to Guardians of the Galaxy, I don't know if you agree with that but I do. The Russo brothers are also to film, in about a few weeks from now, the next Captain America: Civil War.

The report also said that Marvel is also in talks with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely to write the script for the two Infinity War films, this is just another good news on top of the first one if all to be proven accurate because Markus and McFeely wrote all the three Captain America films and that includes the Civil War which is to be released in May next year. They also did some work on Thor: The Dark World and on the TV series Agent Carter.

As of writing the Avengers Infinity War Part I and Part II are set to be released in May 2018 and May 2019 respectively. Once this news is official the Russo Brothers are expected to shoot the two films back-to-back in 2016 and 2017.
