LG G3 Stylus Now Officially Announced

LG just announced a new member of the G3 line of smartphones, it was previously and "accidentally" revealed in a video ad with the original G3 and G3 Beat devices, LG G3 Stylus. By just knowing the name you would definitely identify what's the difference with this smartphone from the orther G3s, a stylus-equipped device just like the Galaxy Note phablets.

The LG G3 Stylus bears a 5.5-inch display with qHD 960x540 pixel resolution. Inside of it are a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and an 8GB internal storage and it supports microSD card for storage expansion. Cameras are pegged at 13MP and 1.3MP rear and front respectively. Still powered by Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and a 3,000mAh battery sits just under the back hood. Looking at those specs, those are very far from the flagship G3 smartphone so hopefully they will offer it with a very attractive price.

Many hoped that the G3 Stylus would be LG's answer to the overwhelming success of Samsung's Galaxy Note line but the specs say otherwise. Looks like it targets a wider market with its configurations. But to be honest, the LG G3 Stylus offerings are not that disappointing and if this will make an impact in its targeted users, most likely we will eventually get future Stylus-equipped phablets from LG with higher calibration of specs.

Pricing is yet to be announced for the G3 Stylus and the Korean company promised to tell more about this device at the IFA event next month in Berlin.
