Terminator is back as an anime series on Netflix, here's the trailer

You read the title right, Netflix just dropped its trailer for the upcoming Terminator Zero animated series. This time it's in anime format. 

The trailer as you can see above, gives off the Terminator vibe we witnessed back in the 80s and 90s and reminds us what fate awaits humanity when the AI network called Skynet became self-aware and waged war against humanity. 

Terminator Zero was produced by Netflix in partnership with a Japanese animation studio called Production IG, the same studio that brought us Ghost in the Shell anime. It is going to have a total of eight episodes and will officially be part of the Terminator universe. So same main plot, most likely, but will be told around new people we have not met in the live action movie counterparts.

Terminator Zero will debut on Netflix on August 29, 2024.
