Netflix Drops Trailer for The Witcher: Blood Origin

Yes, there is a brand new The Witcher series to be releasing on Netflix this Christmas called "Blood Origin" but there is no Henry Cavill in it. That is because this installment is a prequel and the events are happening about 1200 years before the events of the Henry Cavill-helmed series. 

Heading The Witcher: Blood Origin is Michelle Yeoh and the series will tell the story of how the first prototype Witcher was created and the plots of events that lead to the Conjunction of the Spheres. 

It's nice to see that Netflix is expanding the franchise and giving us more content to help us immense ourselves into the world of The Witcher. This will be the third release Netflix has done following the Season 1 and Season 2 of The Witcher. Season 3 is on its way and is expected to be released in the Summer of 2023. 

There is a Season 4 also coming our way but Henry Cavill is not returning as the White Wolf anymore. The actor himself made an announcement a few days ago that instead of him, Liam Hemsworth will be taking the helm as Geralt of Rivia. 

The Witcher: Blood Origin will stream on Netflix beginning December 25, 2022.
