The First Slam Dunk Official Trailer is Here

Batang 90s rejoice! Decades after we first laid our eyes on the Slam Dunk anime series, it has finally got its first movie adaptation. Simply called The First Slam Dunk, its first and official trailer has finally arrived giving us look again at our beloved Shohoku team. 

This First Slam Dunk, just like the anime back in the 90s, is also based on the manga series created by Takehiko Inoue. This CG-animated movie adaptation is directed by Daiki Nakazawa. Takehiko Inoue was also on board to write and direct the film. Toei Animation and DandeLion Animation produced the movie. 

In this adaptation, the cast consist of Shugo Nakamura as Ryota Miyagi, Kenta Miyake as Takenori Akari, Subaru Kimura as Hanamichi Sakuragi, Shin'ichiro Kamio as Kaede Rukawa, and Jun Kasama as Hisashi Mitsui. 

The First Slam Dunk releases on December 3, 2022.
