Joss Whedon Taking Over Justice League from Zack Snyder
One of the most talked about topics right now on the internet is the news about director Zack Snyder leaving the work on the Justice League movie which is currently in the post production phase. This is due to the family tragedy the Snyders are currently facing. And in his place, director Joss Whedon (Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron) will continue working on the movie until its release later this year.
The leave was due to Zack Snyder's 20-year old daughter named Autumn committed suicide in March of this year. At first the director did not really plan on making this devastating tragedy public and just tried to focus on working more on the Justice League. However Zack Snyder and her wife Deborah Snyder who is also one of the producers of the film decided to just temporarily leave their duties in the industry and spend some time grieving with the rest of the Snyder family.
That being said, it is the Avengers director Joss Whedon who will take Snyder's place in finishing the Justice League movie. Reports say that the production is planning on doing some reshoots, not because that current outcome is not that good, but to add some more scenes that Joss Whedon wrote.
Is it going to affect the release of the movie or the overall quality and plot? As of writing, the plan is still to release the film later this year as scheduled in spite of reshoots and transfer of responsibility. In fact Snyder was offered by Warner bros to push back the release while he is out but Zack turned down the suggestion. As for Whedon taking over, he noted that nothing will really change in the format and style of the Justice League and they still plan to keep the overall Snyder template on the film.
