Ben Affleck No Longer Directing "The Batman" Solo Film


Depending on how you look at it, but the actor and director Ben Affleck has just announced that he is officially stepping down as the director for the upcoming solo Batman movie titled "The Batman". However, this does not mean that Affleck will be out of the DC Universe picture at all. He is still going to play Bruce Wayne aka Batman in this universe Warner Bros. is establishing in the silver screen. That will never change at least for now. So why is he stepping down? Below is what he had to say.


"There are certain characters who hold special place in the hearts of millions. Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear I cannot do both jobs to the level they require. Together with the studio, I have decided to find a partner in a director who will collaborate with me on this massive film. I am still in this, and we are making it, but we are currently looking for a director. I remain extremely committed to this project, and look forward to bringing this to life for fans around the world."

There we go fellow fans. Ben Affleck simply would like to focus his energy more on bringing the Dark Knight character to life and make sure that he will be able to deliver the performance most of avid fans are looking for.

It's no dispute that Batman is one of those superhero characters who is the very face of the comics world. And seeing this particular DC Comics character being portrayed, whether in a movie or TV programs, also seeing the actor going to be on high scrutiny as fans and critics really demand the best Batman portrayal they can get especially nowadays where superhero films are in the limelight and getting a lot of success.
