Free Pokemon Go Access Coming to All Smart and TNT Subscribers

While we are still waiting for the Philippine launch of the most anticipated mobile game of the year, Pokemon Go, we continue to receive good news from the local telco companies supporting aspiring Pinoy Pokemon trainers, and eagerly and excitedly waiting alongside us. Globe for example, had announced a few weeks ago that their users will have 7 days of free access to Pokemon Go once launched in the country. Today, Smart is also announcing their own treat for their users.

Smart Communications Inc has just confirmed that they are also offering free access to Pokemon Go mobile game for all of their Smart and TNT users with either Android or iOS devices. Smart said that the initial offer is good for 7 days. So if you are a Smart or TNT user on your Android or iOS smartphone, that means you are able to take advantage of this promo from Smart once Pokemon Go is officially rolled out in the Philippines,

Right now, Smart did not mention if we need to register by send a particular keyword to their network in order to enjoy free Pokemon Go access. This means that this free access should automatically be activated once we first launch the Pokemon Go app on our devices while connected to the Smart mobile internet. In case Smart require registration process, I will let you know in another post.

In case you don't know yet, Pokemon Go is like Clash of Clans and Clash Royale that requires players to be connected to the internet in order to fully enjoy the game. Part of the Pokemon Go game is catching all Pokemon in the real world using augmented reality and geolocation technology, and with the caught Pokemon, players can power them up, evolve and fight with other Pokemon as they take over gyms and earn items.

We don't know yet as to when the Pokemon Go will finally arrive in the Philippines, but when it does it's going to be a lot more fun especially now that telcos are preparing to offer promotions to their subscribers to fully get the most out of the Pokemon Go game.
