Nokia 215 Dual SIM Arrives in the Philippines for Less than Php2k

Microsoft Lumia Philippines has announced via their Facebook page that their first feature phone after officially acquiring Nokia last year has just released in the Philippines, meet the Nokia 215 Dual SIM. Nokia 215 can now be purchased from any Nokia store nationwide for only Php1,850.

The Nokia 215 Dual-SIM was first announced in January this year, and it bears the title "Internet-Ready Feature Phone". And that is because aside from supporting Dual-SIM dual-standby functionality, the Nokia 215 cell phone comes pre-installed with internet apps like Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, Bing Search, MSN Weather and the Opera Mini Browser right out of the box. Now that Smart and Globe offer free internet access, this handset is the perfect companion for taking advantage of those promos on the go.

Those apps are optimized for a feature phone like the Nokia 215 so even though it only supports 2G network, faster browsing experience will be observed most of the time. To compliments the apps, there is a 1,100mAh battery pack that powers it, as I have said in my previous post when the device was announced, it may sound small to our ears especially if we compare it with smartphones' batteries of today but since this is a feature phone, longer battery life is  a sure thing. Microsoft says, the phone can last up to 20 hours on talktime mode and up to 21 days on standby.

The device also has a built-in MP3 player where songs can be stored through microSD card (up to 32GB) that the cellphone supports and Microsoft boasts up to 50 hours of MP3 playback time. If you don't have songs yet stored, don't worry you can still enjoy the FM Radio feature on the phone and that can last you up to 45 hours on a single charge. See other specs below.
