MyPhone Rio 2 Alleged Photos and Specs Leaked Ahead of Launch Date

MyPhone Rio smartphone is one of the most successful devices MyPhone has ever released since it was first introduced in the middle of 2014. Due to its success a number of trimmed down versions of the Rio have been released with much more affordable prices. And again due to the Rio line of smartphones success, MyPhone is expected to release a next-gen MyPhone Rio. In fact a post on TechPinas claims that the device will be officially unveiled on March 31, 2015 at an event in Makati City. Today, about a few hours ago a couple of photos claiming to be the MyPhone Rio 2 have emerged online. Check them out below.

These photos, according to JamOnline.ph, have already made its rounds online via Facebook groups and they received the tip from Mr. Ulysses Tan and Mr. Jekjek Santos. As you can see above the first photo shows the front panel of the Rio 2 giving us a hint that it will be powered by the newest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, see those on-screen buttons? That is my mark that a newest device is powered the most latest Android mobile operating system.

The next image below will just confirm that assumption plus other specs that are to come right out of the box with the MyPhone Rio 2. If these photos are real, which I think they are, we are still going to see a 5-inch display device with the same HD 1280x720 resolution but with new full lamination technology whatever that is.

The processor and RAM size remain the same, but the rear and front cameras, internal storage and the battery size are all upgraded. Which is a nice thing to see. But I was actually expecting for a Full HD display and 2GB of RAM for the new Rio smartphone.
